先日、追加工図を書くことになったのですが、そういえば追加工って英語でなんて書けばいいんだろうかと疑問に思いました。
そこで調べてわかったことについて書いていきたいと思います。
追加工図ーModifying Drawings
ASME(米国器械学会)によれば、Modifying Drawingとは通常の素材から作られる加工品以外の図面を指します。
その中でも以下の3つに分けられます。
・Altered Item Drawing
・Selected Item Drawing
・Modification Drawing
この中でもAltered Item Drawingが追加工図に一番近いのではないかなと思います。
以下、Altered Item Drawingの定義を抜粋します。
Modifying Drawingsの定義
Modifying drawing types are Altered Item, Selected Item, and Modification Drawings. These drawing types are not used for items made from raw or bulk materials, items purchased in bulk lengths, or such semiprocessed items as blank panels, castings, electronic equipment drawers, etc. (For such items, use detail or detail assembly drawings.
Modifying Drawingは、変更項目、選択項目、および変更図面です。
これらの図面タイプは、未加工またはバルク材料から作られた品目には使用できません。
このような品目には、詳細図または詳細組立図を使用されます。
Altered Item Drawingの定義
An altered item drawing delineates the physical alteration of an existing item under the control of another design activity or defined by a nationally recognized standard. The drawing type permits the required alteration to be performed by any competent manufacturer including the original manufacturer, the altering design activity, or a third party. It establishes a new item identification for the altered item. Application. An Altered Item drawing is prepared when alteration of an existing item is required. An altered item drawing shall not be prepared to modify an existing item that was developed by the design activity.

- 定義: Altered Item Drawingとは、既存の製品に物理的な変更を加えるための図面です。この変更は、別の設計活動によって管理されるか、国家的に認められた基準によって定義されます。
- 目的: この図面は、必要な改造を行うための指示を提供します。元の製造者、改造を設計した組織、または第三者など、能力のある製造者であれば誰でもこの改造を実行できるようにします。
- 新しい識別: 改造された製品には、新しい製品識別子が割り当てられます。これにより、元の製品と改造後の製品を区別することができます。

Selected Item Drawingの定義
Application. A Selected Item Drawing is prepared when it is feasible to select from an existing group of existing items those items that, as applicable, 1) Meet the required characteristics for a particular application; 2) Pass additional tests or inspections imposed by the using-design activity for characteristics not normally specified for the original item; and 3) Survive burn-in or run-in requirements. NOTE: A selected item drawing shall not be prepared to select items that were developed by the design activity.
- 定義 既存の製品群から特定の条件を満たす製品を選別するための図面です。
- 適用条件 以下の条件を満たす場合に作成されます：
a) 特定用途の要求特性を満たす製品の選別が可能な場合。
b) 使用設計活動が追加の試験や検査を課す場合。
- 元の製品では通常指定されない特性に対して実施。
c) バーンインやランイン要件をクリアする製品の選別が必要な場合。
- 選別の目的 特定の用途や厳しい要件に適合する製品を既存の製品群から抽出します。
- 追加検査の意義 通常の仕様以上の性能や信頼性を求める場合に重要。
- 制限事項 設計活動自体が開発した製品の選別には使用不可。この点に注意が必要です。

- 定義 納品後の製品に対する変更を示す図面です。変更内容を詳細に描写。
- 再識別 管理目的で必要な場合、修正された製品の再識別を要求。新しい識別子の割り当てが必要になることも。
- 適用 ユーザーの要求を満たすため、または納入済み機器に必須の変更を組み込むために作成します。目的は以下の通り：
- 部品の追加
- 部品の削除
- 製品の再加工
- エンジニアリング変更の反映 将来の生産に修正を反映させる範囲で、エンジニアリング変更を図面に組み込みます。
- Altered Item Drawingとの違い 納品後の製品に焦点を当てている点が特徴的。既に顧客の手元にある製品の修正を扱います。
